Shalom Community Christian Church will host its 8th Annual Summer Camp for children entering pre-K through eighth grade. The S.M.A.R.T. (Science, Math, Art, Reading and Technology) Academic and Enrichment Summer Program will begin on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 and concludes on Friday, August 25, 2017 and will be held at Shalom Community Christian Church at 2227 Pinecroft Road.  The cost is $65 per week with a $30 deposit per student which includes snacks and lunch. The camp runs from 7:30am-5:30pm Mondays through Fridays.

Campers will gain proficiency Math and Reading in addition to having the opportunity to enjoy classes offered in Art, Dance, Financial Literacy, Singing, Science/Gardening, Etiquette, and Character Development.  This camp has been officially certified and recognized as a Guilford County Schools Partner.

The activities support learning objectives of the Common Core Curriculum.  However, many students do not have the academic foundation, especially in mathematics and reading, to master the content taught from the new curriculum. Dr. Eric Cole.

The Summer Camp at Shalom is one of the few affordable academic enrichment camps in Guilford County that offer the rigor, range of classes, and reinforcement opportunities, especially for math and reading.
